Hi.. just thought I'd post a hello as i've just discovered this site and realised I'm not the only person in the world to feel the way I do! What a relief. There are so many things to read about and I intend to view them all but it may take some time. In the mean time I'm celebrating 2 good days and hoping for another tomorrow. It's really important to me that I gain some control over my eating as I'm struggling to get pregnant and my treatment is limited due to being overweight...but as you can imagine...struggling to get pregnant causes me to overeat...well its one of the causes. I look forward to understanding why I eat the way I do..and moving onto doing something about it. Best wishes to you all..Hope tomorrow is good for you too. xx

Welcome to the group.
I totally relate to that wonderful feeling when you realise you are not alone, you are not crazy or just lacking will power and there are other people out there that really do understand the struggles and the triumphs and don't judge you for what you eat.
I think that this forum is a huge part of how well I am doing at the moment. I have seen my binging reduce in both the number of occaissions and the actual amount in the binge since starting to post on here. You can get through this

Thanks Jacqui,
I'm not doing too bad. Was feeling quite lonely, bored and fustrated last night and the food from the kitchen was yelling to me really loudly so I tried to just pick healthier options such as fruit...I know its not ideal but was the best I could muster at that point. Even took myself to the gym today, the first time in a while. I never seem to get that buzz people say they get from exercise. I do however feel more proud of myeself if i didn't want to go...but still went. Now watching the tennis...got some strawberries if the tension gets too much

Hi Steel,
If you don't like going to the gym - simply don't go there, find another activity instead. A simple, regular evening walk in the fresh air can do you wonders too!
Good luck in getting your eating under control! Always remember: getting cured of binge eating is not done by applying any specific diets (which can only be followed for a certain period of time) or depriving yourself from any food you like - it's done by changing your lifestyle for a lifetime including positive thinking, moderate eating, moderate exercising and finding activities that make us happy to keep the body and the soul fit..
Cheers
