Back from the Doctor...I am moving back down to 20 mgs! it will take about 4 more days to regulate...

I gained 7 lbs since my last visit...not thrilled.

The antigen test for strep came negative so that is a plus. Waiting for the full culture.

Thank you everyone. Tonite I am CHILLAX with my man...talking and watching movies. Regrouping.

Joycee -- I love ya and I agree with everything you said. I don't feel like a 24/7 loser but I get pangs of feeling really low about having these kind of issues. Your whole post is very uplifiting. Thank you!

Mirm and Lizzypoo -- I can finally see your new avatars - lovely. Mirm -- you look sooo different in every single pic. You are both gorgeous!

Tomorrow is new...today had answers I needed so....

Uh Oh! I posted on here and it doesn't show up as being the last post. I hope your journal isn't all goofed up now. DD's journal did this, and my journal and Lauren's did it too. Andrew was able to get mine and Lauren's working again though. I don't know if the problem is with your journal or my posting. I'm gonna send this now and see if it shows up. I hope so!

Yay Jen, my post worked and now I can see your latest post too. No problems I guess, I just over-reacted.

I'm so glad the doctor reduced your meds. If this doesn't work, please go back and demand a different med. You deserve to feel good and be able to enjoy life. Besides who can keep up with a husband and 5 year old when they are drugged!

That is a relief that the strep test was negative. What next after the culture comes back negative? Anything you can do besides keep the girl home from school?

Awwwww, an evening lounging around watching movies with the hubby, that sounds like my kind of evening. Enjoy every minute of it pretty lady!

Hi Joyce and Jenna....I spent last nite wallowing on the couch like a ginormous slug. I am going to try to make today better. It is very very quiet in here now...but I have to wake up hubby because we are supposed to run 2 mi this morning. I bet it's super cold outside. I am going to wait til the sun comes up to wake him up. I have to pick my daughter up at 9. Today will be a girls spa day. She has gotten herself dressed, packed and out the door for school for 2 weeks straight.

Joyce - I watched the latest episode of biggest loser last night on Primetime on Demand. It was really good except....on demand cut off in the last 3 minutes of the show and I never found out who got sent home. I have to say at this point I am a fan of team Sam and Koli and I also like Daris and his mother...why...because they have FI---RE! Love it. The red lady...ugh...not very nice. And she has messed with the DYNOMITE! oopsie...this will not be pretty.

So today I am going to do my best to stop eatin like a fool or the pants-ometer is about to go on tilt. While I probably don't look to much different to most people...i can feel the difference and i know where I will be headed if this eating pattern continues cuz I have been there before.

Today I will eat what nourishes my body and gives me energy. I will move my body and have fun. I will begin again and do the best I possibly can. I have good support and friends and family to help me.

Ladies - I am sorry for not posting on your journals lately but I have been reading them and the last I knew everyone was ok / pretty good. So I promise to read tonight and see what is going on. Also today if I feel bingey -- I am going to come on and type.

Time for coffee...I love you all so...

Jen, 14 degrees, did you run outside?

Ok, let's see, that has been a few days ago and you know in my advanced age I can't remember things too long. If I have my weeks correct, I think the twin that was left on the ranch is the one that got sent home. Can't remember, is his name John, or was that his brother's name. Anyway, he is the one that fell below the yellow line and he atomatically went home with no vote. Isn't it funny how we bond with some of the people on the show and dislike others? I don't care for the red lady either, too much of a drama queen. And I also don't like the green mom, Miggy I think her name is, she is kind of hateful. I know what you mean, you don't mess with the DYNOMITE, she will blow up in your face! So much confrontation on there right now, it should be an interesting season. I like Daris and his Mom too. I think I might like the Dad and daughter team that came back on last week, I don't know them that well yet so I'll wait and see how they play the game and then decide for sure.

Your girl day sounds totally wonderful. Have fun, enjoy it, and forget all about your worries. No thinking about troubles today, I want you to take a vacation day from thinking about what you should or shouldn't eat, and weight, and medicine. Just play, relax and have the best day you have had in a while.

Don't worry about not posting on everyone's journals everyday. Right now your focus should be on feeling better and finding that happy place to dwell in. All your friends on here understand and want you to feel better.

Hoping to see rainbows (in honor of Megan of course) jumping off the screen today from your post. Luv ya sweetie!

Dang running 2 miles in 14 degrees?!?! Even this bionic runner wouldn't be up for that Ok SOO glad you MD was ok with you going to the half dose and that it is going to regulate itself soon! And wahoo to strep being negative! Sorry about the weight gain BUT most likely since you have had a few tough days, its water weight and will go down quickly...don't count that as actual weight gain! Enjoy your salon time!!

oh BTW went to Fleets yesterday and I'm officially obsessed!! I'm going to rant about this on my journal but basically the stupid Mizuno shoes that Dicks sold me 5 months ago (they said were for people with high arches) actually are for people with flat feet so weren't providing me ANY arch support so my feet were rolling in to compensate and thats where all those HORRIBLE blisters were coming from!! So I bought Brooks that are for high arches, and did a 13 mile outdoor run today from Josh's to Piedmont Park, around the park for 6 miles and back and felt amazing!! NO FREAKING BLISTERS..ZERO!! So thanks friend...you are the best ever!

A 5-STAR DAY all the way around. The morning exercise set me up for a fabu day. I picked up my girl and then came home...we did some yoga and I did my lifting and then took my time (for a change) getting ready. She, my hubs and I went to the nail salon. She and I got our toes and nails done...how fun. She got pink and orange w/white polka dots and she laughed hysterically when the scrubbed her tootsies in the little foot bath. This just made my day. Sometimes I think it's a little over the top to do these things with her. My husband says...absolutely not...that is what having girl fun is all about. So I did something I never do (i am usually very conservative with color)....I have blue toes and pink fingers -- with contrasting tropical flowers...my baby insisted and I will be happy looking at them all week.
My patient hubby chilled out on the couch there doing whatever it is that he does on the ipod touch...smiling and chillaxin...he is a trooper.

Then we went to the bookstore and I got her "goldaliscious" and for those of you old schoolers who remember Fred Gwynne (aka Herman Munster)...he wrote a book called "Chocolate Moose for Dinner" that is all about plays on words...hilarious.

Then I had to bring her back to her dads for the night. So we just went out to dinner and are home trying to get warm..heheh.

So...the rest of this post will be short...

    B - oatmeal and blueberries
    S - vanilla soy latte
    S - 1/2 golden delicious apple, banana
D - edamame, hot and spicy soup w/chili, cilantro and lime, sweet potato sushi roll (mmmmmmm so good!)

I may have a little snack or a tea before beddy time..

I gotta go -- love you all so much.

Nat -- hope you had a good day. Being outdoors even in the cold helps a lot alot.Lauren -- I KNEW you would love fleet feet,,,I am so happy you got the right shoe...it seems to make all the difference in the world...doesn't it.
Joyce -- thank you for the update on BL. I am not a fan of Miggy either. She is pretty tough which I kind of admire...but she seems to have a nasty little chip on her shoulder...
Louise and Lizzer -- thank you for posting! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend as well.

I will catch up with everyone later...

So much for my short post...
    hhehheheh...

ps - joyce, we ran outside! the temp on msn said 28 degrees...but that was wrong..i think that was either the potential temp or yesterdays.... it was not bad once we warmed up...my face was cold. i have a baklava i need to get out of the attic (its like a fleece hood with eyes cut out that I got in the Winter Wimp food race....that would have been useful today!)

I ate intuitively today...i think the first true day of it ever really happening. I did not eat a lot at all...just because I think my tummy was so full the last couple of days!

Jen, Your girl time with your daughter wasn't over the top at all. It sounds wonderful. I can picture you two girls getting a pedicure and manicure while your hubby sits on the sofa patiently waiting. That is so sweet of him. And a trip to the bookstore is a fabulous treat for any age. What...no Junie B today? I do remember Herman Munster, I didn't know he wrote kid's books, I'll have to look for some. Would they be age appropriate for my 6 (almost 7) year old grand-daughter?

I bet you feel really good about your intuitive eating today. You really didn't eat much but if you ate when you were hungry then that's what counts. Just be sure and listen to your body once your tummy begins to empty out, and feed it as much as it needs.

Now, hmmmmm, why would your post be a short one tonight? Dinner out and home alone...I think I might be reading something in between the lines that makes me blush. Enjoy your evening.

Hi all! It's a sunny morning here in NY.

We are on our way out the to market. I think we will need a wagon to get all the stuff we are out of today. I swear we live at the market and as soon as we get home there is something else we need! Oh well.

    Hoping for another 5-star day.

    Joyce - bahahahha

Mirm - It is a pain....i am hoping this will be the last adjustment. I am starting to feel better already. My house was starting to look like the movie "Close Encounters of a Third Kind" - Maybe you are too young to remember that but in the movie everyone was building big mounds in preparation for descending aliens. I am a little less drugged out of my mind!
Thanks Louise -- It was a precious moment. Too cute.

    Well -we're outta here!

Jen, rent a U-Haul truck to get those groceries home. Hee Hee! I know exactly what you mean, when I get home and start putting my purchases away, I'm writing on my grocery list at the same time all the items I forgot to get. And I take a list with me to the store so I shouldn't have that problem! Who knows what's up with that!

Hope you enjoyed your relaxing evening!

I remember that movie! No worries friend, now that you are feeling better, everything will go right back into place. Don't rush it, just take your time, it will all wait for you.

Don't hope for that 5 star day, MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!!!

hubs and I have had a good day. we got all sorts of superbowl food for him to bring to his sisters. i am in the midst of making a layered salsa dip...
I am not going bc I have to pick my daughter up at 7:15. I am ok with that...i am not a super football fan. We have had a nice day paling around and getting the house tidied up.

So -- I made the black bean soup i posted on Nats journal...so easy and FABULOUS! i only made 1/4 of the recipe and it's quite a lot. VERY TASTY.

    My eats today

B - Oatmeal and 1/2 cup of blueberries
L - leftover edamame, a little bit of my spicy soup and a luna bar
S - Apple and mulled cider
D - cup of bean soup and ww. flatbread

Special treat - one vegan pb cookie, 1 hershey dark kiss.

I may have salad later if I get hungry cuz I've eaten kind of early.

Oh yea last nite I had a warmed almond milk w. vanilla, cinnamon and truvia -- soo good. I may do that again tonite.

Hope everyone is well. I am kind of knee deep in laundry right now but its all good.

Jen Jen!! WAHOO to having a 5 star day yesterday!! It sounded fabulous!! Haha you are an awesome mom for getting blue nails to satisfy your cutie!! Your so cool!! That is awesome to hear you really intuitive ate yesterday for the first time...I know you can do this Miss Pillar of Strength! Yeah shoes make literally all the difference in the world..I owe you for that Fleets tip!! Guess what I bought today from whole foods?!?!?!?!? THE YOGI CEREAL!! I ended up going for the Walnut Spice Crunch and had a handful when I got home..WOW HEAVENLY!!!!!!! I tried it with a spoonful of almond milk but I'm not a fan, I love dry cereal..I feel like milk just dilutes the delicious flavor so I think I'll eat it dry and drink the almond milk separately but wow is it good!! THANKS friend!! Hope you have a wonderful night. xoxo

Joyce -- I need the laundry fairy to come.

So around 6:00 I had a tossed salad and another cookie

Night snack - apple, clementine and kiwi slices and a hershey kiss, hazelnut coffee w almond milk.

A good eating day. waiting for my honey to come home.

This was a really good weekend. I am working out right now...i don't want to get up early tomorrow cuz I have spin class tomorrow night and our friend is coming over for dinner. He was the best man in our wedding. my daughter is so excited...she adores him and vice versa. I think it will be a subway nite...and maybe some of my soup..woo hoo. time for abs...i have to hide in the kitchen cause the dogs attack me when I lay on the floor!

Jen, the friend that is coming for dinner is the same friend you have talked about before isn't he? The one that you said you can talk so openly to?

The laundry fairy would be great! You think I could get a dish fairy, and a bathroom cleaning fairy too?

That's hilarious, the dogs attack you? When we lay on the floor, a baby boy attacks us! Ha Ha, he sits on our tummy or back and jumps up and down. Not too much fun if you have just eaten.

Lozzie - Kiwi is so refreshing and in the cold winter weather...I just cannot do the skin. Pleahhhhhhckkkk! I am going to go check out your weekend in a minute. Your posts are so many I can't figure out what you did last....!

Joyce -- Yes...I either have to barricade myself in the kitchen or barricade them in there...they jump all over me and tug on my ponytail and sit right on my stomach. What is up with that. I know...my daughter used to do the same...this is why I work out at 4 am or 10 pm...! Did I tell you I got my daughter a yoga mat. OMG == she loves it and we do some poses from the book almost every day...she is pretty good and much more flexible than mommy.

What I really need is a dishwasher emptying fairy and a sheet changing fairy. I despise these two jobs more than anything. The only time my husband and I argue is about who is going to put the clean sheets on the bed. We have a king size bed in a very tiny bedroom and you have to do acrobatics to get it changed!

Yes...this is our very close friend. We can and do talk about just about everything...he is somewhat crazy but in a good way...in the way that he will tell you about the inner workings of his mind and not be embarrassed to say. I admire this quality and I find it very refreshing to talk to him. He is going to run with us in the race at the end of March as well.

So I am hoping to carry over the great weekend mindset into this week. We are watching les Miserables in my class right now so I am going to sign off til later because this is my FAVORITE movie ever!

    Hey Jen,

lol why don't you and your hubby change the sheets and empty the dishwasher together. It could be a hobbie that you do together lol. And i'm sure you could make it fun somehow although right now i can't think of anything, well maybe something to do with the sheets hehe.

Lorena -- We have tried compromising and making the bed together. It is like driving bumper cars because you have to push the bed around back and forth in such a tiny space to get the sheets on. We wind up pinning each other against the wall and getting really ornery. It's mayhem. My new trick is to leave the sheets in a pile and pretend I am asleep on the couch so he will do it by himself. I am kindof evil that way!

Jen, that is funny about the bed changing situation. Reminds me about the story my hubby told me about his trip to Japan. When the maid at the hotel changed the sheets on the bed, she had to put the bedspread over the open window sill just to get the job done. The hotel room was so small that there wasn't anyplace to lay the bedspread and pillows.

My least favorite job around the house is dusting. You do it and the next day it needs to be done again.

I love that you and your daughter are doing yoga together. That must be so cute! I tried to get my little dude to do some leg raises with me today. I got on the floor and started raising my legs. I told him to get on the floor and do what NaNa was doing, so he sat on me and bounced.

Glad you are having such wonderful days. I hope they last forever!

Hi everyone -- its agreed...making the bed sux! hahah.

So our friend just left...we had a good visit. I skipped spin because I thought being here was way more important so I am gonna exercise in a few mins. i have my first conference in the series I am going to so I get to miss school tomorrow...kewl!

    My eats -

    B - oatmeal & banana slices.
L - cup of black bean soup, whole wheat flatbread, golden del. apple.
S - 2 vegan pb cookies, hot cider
D - Subway veggie delite on whole wheat

having a warm cinnamon almond milk and two hershey dark kisses,,mmmm

once that settles its lifting and yoga. talk later all!

hahah joyce -- kiddie exercise can really get interesting!

i will do your dusting (I like to dust) if you make my bed...yes...our bedroom is like a japanese hotel room...my mom told me to get a queen and I insisted a king would fit...moral of the story...listen to your mother!

Ok Jen, it's a deal. We will trade, I'll make your bed, you dust for me. We have a king size bed too. Our room isn't huge but the bed sits in the middle with about 4 feet on either side. I wish I had one of those master suites that the new houses have. Wouldn't that be great? We had a queen size bed but gave it to our daughter and bought the king size. There just isn't enough room in a queen size for us and all the grandkids too.

    Hello Lovelies..

Well -- I had a conference today on data-driven instruction, which basically means using data of any kind (test scores, attendance records, student surveys, etc.) to help determine what and how you teach. It was pretty interesting and my table was fun...all cool people. So SURPRISE SURPRISE...

I get home to the phone message -- hello Jennifer...you tested pos. for Strep Throat!

Ack == so I dragged the whole family in to get cultured....we got home about an hour ago...long day. Their initial tests were neg. but we have to wait for the full culture...mama mia...I know they will be pos...there is no way its not bc we all have felt pooey for at least a week.

Nonetheless, I am in a good mood and we ran a mile today...right before that call. I started a z-pack and all is well.

    My eats

    B - oatmeal w/1/2 c. blueberries
S - Cinnamon Dolce Soy latte
L - WW pita, tossed salad, aplle
    S- Apple
D - Amy's black bean enchilada, a sliver of ww flatbread just to sop the sauce up...mmmm

Special treat...2 vegan pb cookies (they are like little pb cookie oreos w. pb inside))and a hot cider (sugar free)

I hope all is well! I am going to check out your posts this evening!

TWINS !! I HATE emptying the dishwasher too !!! At least the bed sheets are only once a week, but those pots have to be put away everyday... viscious circle as if you don't put them away, then you can't load the next lot in.. Ha ! I think I have finally managed to negotiate with my hubby that the pots are his job... he has to help with SOMETHING !!! Tsk..men !
Well, sorry, catching up with your journal, but you seem in a good mood..so i am happy about that..What is strep throat though ? Is it serious ?
gonna get your black bean soup recipe from Nat's journal..

Hey Jen..you were an apple girl yesterday! I can't afford to eat more than one apple a day! When I buy 5 at the grocery (since I usually buy Pink Lady Organic) it ends up costing like 8 buckeroos! Dang when did fruit get so expensive!? They sell those vegan cookies at Walmart? I'll have to check them out! Although do they taste anything like Oreos because I HATE oreos! Keeping my fingers crossed your hubby and daughters strep comes back negative. Have a great day Jen. ~Loz
