Yeah so I found this site yesterday and I think it's awesome. I need somewhere that I can talk and basically not be embarrased.

Well I'll start with what I've eaten today...
B: Bowl of cheerios with low-fat milk
    S: Banana+Apple
L: 1 pc wholemeal toast with tomato on top.
S: Beetroot + can of tuna

    So I dunno what that's like. Good?Bad?

    I'm only 5ft, but 110 pounds.

I haven't had dinner yet, but I'm hoping to keep control, it's normally where I lose it. Mum is cooking butter chicken, so I'll have 1/2 cup of rice. bit of the chicken and sauce, and a salad.

Over the weekend I went outta control though. I couldn't stop eating. BUT I am proud of myself because everything was healthy. No junk! Still, didn't really make it any better.
I had managed to spend that 5 days last week in control.
So this week I have decided to eat everything, in moderation. I won't completley cut out sweets, I'll probable end up binging on Sunday like usual. But I take some advice from what I've read on this site. I'll have a little bit through out the week.
But nothing today. I KNOW I'll end up overeating on it, after the weekend I had. So yeah.
I don't really care if no one reads this but for me thats not the point.
So let's hope for a good week ahead

    GOSHHH, how could I??
So I had dinner and ate Okay, had to full on stop myself from any more.
Then I decided maybe I could have one honeycomb choc thingy, maybe it will stop such strong cravings tomorrow. Like on the site.

Not quite, I had one half. Then decided i would eat a cupcake. But with the cupcake I spat most of it out, ate no more than a bite. Then just had 2 more pieces of choc honeycomb. Their realtivly small. But still.

Okay, tomorrow is a new day and I promise myself I will deal with it. No overeating/binging!!!!!!

Sounds like you have a relatively good day. Maybe you are dissappointed about what you had after dinner. It sounds like you are the perfectionist type, like I am. I think it sounds like you had a nice healthy food day, and a little treat at the end was not so bad. Good luck to you for tomorrow.

Hey there welcome to the site! Your food looks nice for the day although your lunch looks more like a snack..so maybe eating a bigger lunch would help you stay fueled during the day. Its great you are trying the moderation thing. You did not have a binge with those desserts...its was hardly an over eat so don't beat yourself up over it!! Your body probably is still thinking you are going to start restricting the sweets again so thats why it feels like its got to go crazy on them still...once it realizes you can have it anytime you want, that need to over eat them feeling will get better. Also you may have felt guilty about eating the honeycomb thing which triggered you to reach for more. No worries. You did fine! Keep posting! ~Lauren

Thanks sing and Lauren. Really that wasn't even a binge now that I think about it.

Good day today:) Well I think so. Probably did so well food wise cause it was a good day all round.

B: Bowl porridge and low fat milk
    S: Slices of capsicum
    L: (kinda) banana + orange
S: Tub of yoghurt, I thought it was low-fat but half way through I was like, whoops. Surprised at how easily I dealt with that, normally would have stressed out. But trying too keep relaxed, chill:)

Dunno what's for dinner but I'll be fine. Gosh, talking on this site has really got me thinking. It has only been 2 days and wow it's changed my perspectavie on binging. I don't actually have a bad problem. At least, I have read worse. Sigh, I don't wanna think like that though. Gosh I'm like talking to myself on this tight now. I need to focus on my self and getting a healthy relationship with food.

Hey there glad to see that you had a good day and that your over eat yesterday wasn't a binge! Ok so you probably need to eat way more for lunch! Two pieces of fruit count more as a snack then a lunch and it may be what is triggering you to over eat later in the day! Anyways good job today! ~Lauren

Thanks Lauren. Just I'n trying to eat when I'm hungry and I just seem to not actually get hungry at all. I don't get it.
Well today was good today too, binge wise.
B: Porridge with low fat milk
    S: Banana
L: Half tuna and cucumber sandwich on multigrain bread (just wan't actually hungry for the rest)
S: Apple, Half and piece of toast with PB on it
S: Leg of this donut boy thing my friend gave me

Bout to have dinner so let's hope I'm okay.
I'm having vegie and beef stirfry:) I'm not gonna over eat!!!

Over the past two nights I have been having so much trouble getting too sleep it's strange. I normally never take 3-4 hours to get tOo sleep. I'm just really hoping to get a good nights sleep tonight. I've got a lot of tests coming up and I don't wanna be nackered for them.

Hey yeah I get that...its good you are listening to your body...but make sure that you really aren't physically hungry and its not more of a subconscious effort to restrict. If you find your binges happening in afternoon or evening you may just need to have a bigger lunch even if you aren't hungry to keep your blood sugar more stabilized during the day. But it sounds like you had a nice day today! Hope you get that needed sleep! ~Lauren

Well today at school was so stressful. My SOSE teacher is like putting so much pressure on not just me, but the whole class. By the end of first semester we will have a submit our course choices for mext year. Only he is going over about how well our grades need to be, to get a better course. Wow I've been putting so much into my school work I do hope to get A's. But I only talk about this because this is the type of situation where all hell would have broken loose in the kitchen cupboards. But NOOOO:D:D:D:D:D:D I stayed in awesome control and cooled down, without food.

    So food log today:

B: Porridge with low fat milk and some pieces of banana
    S: Carrot sticks
L: Half a banana sandwich on multigrain
S: Half a cup of non fat yoghurt with rockmelon
    D: Roast chicken with salad

Thanks yo so much Lauren. The things you say are so helpful, give me an extra boost to my day. I love how you do that with so many others though. I see you all over this site and I think your amazing.

Well today I had so much temptation.
When my (large) cousins came round today they decided to bring some greasy and salty fast food. They brang some for me and I felt bad rejecting it. But I mean I don't have to be forced to eat anything i don't want. I did well though and didn't have a single bite, despite how great it smelt.

    So today so far...

B: Porridge w/ hilo milk and banana
L: Sandwich with tomato, tuna and mustard on multigrain.
S: Some pieces of rockmelon and piece of apple.

Dinner is gonna be a big roast.
BUT, i'm only gonna have a bit.
One slice of meat and some roasted vegies.
    NO gravy or other sauces:)

    I think I'll be fine.
Wait I KNOW i'll be fine...

Hey, sounds like you are doing a very good job! May I ask what you used to binge? Are you sure it was a binge eating disorder or was it maybe just some subjective overeating? Was it due to emotional issues?

Well, give your body enough food so the binges do not come back

Hope you have a great weekend

Thanks Jasmine..I'm glad that I can give a boost to your day You know it sounds like you did really well today but maybe next time if you want that fast food, let yourself have it in moderation. It really won't hurt you...and its good to show yourself that you can have "unhealthy" things that smell good to you in moderation! But you have had a good day...eat your dinner, enjoy it, if you do want a little gravy, put some on there and don't feel guilty about it! ~Lauren

I think it was a bit of a mix.
Well, my last full on binge was about a month ago and I wrote it all down somewhere.

2 ice cream sandwiches, a jam/ cream filled donut, 2 pieces of PB toast, a bowl of coco pops and last were 5 oreos. - 28 Jan

Wow, that feels so long ago. I really hope I don't go back to that. It was that day I started really looking into binging. But since then I haven't really binged that bad.
Little things like in my first post. For the past 2/3 weeks i have only really been struggling with overeating at meal times. But it hasn't actually been as hard as I thought. I haven't had that strong all or nothing feeling in a while.

But no, I guess I haven't got it as bad as some on this forum. But putting my food log out in public, rather just in my journal, has stopped me from overeating. I s'pose the fact that people might actually know what/how much i eat is a bit of an incenive to stop.

    But today so far..

B: Bowl of cheerios w/ low fat milk and sliced banana
L: Leftover roasted vegies and peas
S: Low fat yoghurt with banana and apple pieces
    S: Some pieces of rockmelon

For dinner I was going out and we planned on having sushi. So I'll have 3-4 pieces I guess.

    Hi,

well the quantities have to make sense to you and that also has to do with how is your body. I think my quantities and type of food may differ from some others as I am not a 100% veggie, I am a bit taller and the structure of my body is a big larger. Anyway, your body will tell you how much is ok. I am more a meat and pasta fan hehe. Once I tried sushi but it´s not my thing. Hope you enjoyed your sushi

It is amazing how much 5 weeks mean in an eating patter. Actually the time for a change in the eating habits to be effective is 4 weeks. When we start dealing with BE we think it will be a one-day thing, but it takes a bit of time.

I am glad you feel so much better. Be positive and keep posting

    Have a nice sunday

    Yeah, that's a good idea:)
So Lauren, I have been listening to my body and all today, only eating when physically hungry. And I'd be like hungry then when I get the chance to eat I feel physically sick. It is weird.

    Anyhoo.

B: Porridge w/ milk and banana
    S: Some grape tomatos
L: Half tuna and tomato sandwich
    S: Yogurt and apple
D: Small chicken breast, small half of fish and salad

Hmm thats weird that you were feeling sick? Its great you were trying to listen to your body all day...I wonder if you ate something bad that made your stomach hurt? Or have you started birth control or some med that may make you feel nauseous? Hope you tummy feels better! ~Lauren

Yeah, I haven't changed anything lately. The only thing was listening to when my body was hungry. But I still felt sick today, and didn't really get hungry. Well my stomach felt hungry but at the same time I felt full, almost like after I overeat.

So today all I ate was:
B: About half a bowl of poridge
    S: Apple
D: Half a cup of vegie stirfry

The thing is I had to like force myself to eat, atleast some thing. I just felt soo full. But at least I didn't eat anything.

Sorry you still feel sick I know you say you feel full but you barely had anything to eat so I would really try to increase how much you are eating, even if you body says its not hungry, because if not, your hunger level will catch up with you quickly and you'll find yourself ravenous which often leads to binges. Feel better! ~Lauren

    Hey Sophie, welcome.
Yeah I wasn't very smart yesterday. Probably should have eaten more that I did.

But yeah Lauren, I did eat alot more today. I was still a little sick but I still managed to get a normal amount of food down.

It is weird though. I think it may all be in my head. I've been pretty stressed lately and I feel like it is all in my head. But anyhoo

B: Half a bowl of porridge and a medium banana
S/L: Half a tuna/tomato sandwich on multigrain and an apple
S/L: This bowl thing called, 3 beans and corn.
S: Half a piece of PB toast
    D: Spaghetti and salad

I was kinda worried that my metabolism had slowed down, but I don't think it did.

It looks like you did eat better today....yeah that restriction thing is hard to get out of your head and it sometimes tricks you into believing you aren't hungry so you won't eat. Glad you got more food in you today...that will help stop the binges long-term! Have a nice day! ~Lauren

Okay so I'm trying to eat more during the day and only leave room for a small dinner. I've noticed that I'm normally really tired during the day and then after dinner i'm more awake. So hopefully if i eat more food during the day i will have more energy. I mean I prefer to go to bed slightly hungry at night anyway. I have room for a bigger breakfast in the morning.

B: Bowl of cheerios w/ milk and a banana
S/L: An egg white omlette with tomato, a piece of rockmelon
S/L: A cup of nonfat yogurt w/ honey and and orange

then for dinner i don't know what i'll have..

Making sure you are eating plenty during the day is important for energy levels and to prevent those night binges! If you find yourself getting snackey at night though, you may need to may your dinner a bit larger. Hope you have a great day! Your food looks great so far! What is a rockmelon?
